Hand cast in solid brass with a gleaming silver nickel and gold finish, our Torquay Urn is not only beautiful, but also made to last. A threaded secure opening at the base ensures that ashes are kept safe and secure. With an intricately hand-engraved floral cypress finish, this urn was inspired by the traditional Persian boteh or buta motif. This teardrop shape cypress design is also traditionally seen in 19th Century Scottish paisley cloth in the V&A Museum in London, and has long been thought to symbolise both life and eternity.
